Midget 1 Devils Capture Playoff Banner

The Midget 1 Devils Celebrate their Playoff Victory
 
The Richmond Midget 1 Devils enjoyed an exciting season in a division comprised of 8 teams. The top 4 teams after league play, including the Richmond Devils, qualified for the championship round of the Playoffs. The Devils were 6 and 0 in the round-robin portion of the Playoffs. The championship game pitted the Devils against the Abbotsford Ice. It was a suspenseful game with the Devils taking a 2-0 lead in the second period, but Abbotsford rallied to tie it up 2-2 midway through the 3rd period. The Devils scored on a power play goal to put them ahead. Final score was Richmond 3 - Abbotsford 2.
 
Coach AJ Sander commented: "the team played smart and strong defensively and implemented their defense assignments to a tee". The players are looking forward to participating in the Provincial Championships on home ice March 10-14.
